December 17, 2012 - Techno Brain, an Indian global technology and IT
solutions company, has commenced the undertaking of a project that aim
s at modernizing driving licenses in Ethiopia by using fingerprint technology,
according to the Reporter. The company, which opened its offices in 2009
here in Ethiopia, is also engaged in providing technological services like Core
Banking, Biometric and Grants Management.
During a meeting held at the Addis Ababa Hilton on Monday, Manoj Shanker, CEO of the company said that including
the modernization of the driving licenses, his company is engaged in the introduction of a call center for the Ethiopian
Revenues and Customs Authority and automating postal delivery system of the Ethiopian Postal Services.
Techno Brain, established in 1997, started its operations by setting up a development center and state-of-the-art
training institution in Dar-es-Salaam. The company provides several IT solution services such as Human Resources
and Payroll Management Systems, a Multi-Modal Biometric System and a Biometric Authentication System for core
banking in enterprise businesses. The company is currently eyeing similar certifications in the Southern African
