Repi Soap to Start Production in 2013
Repi Soap & Detergent Share Company which
undertook a 533 million Br expansion projects is planning to start
production of a new line of laundry detergent in September 2013.
When fully operational the factory will have a production capacity of 400,000tns of laundry soaps, Ajax, toilet and liquid soaps. The expansion project is underway on 50,000sqm of land around Alem Gena town located in Oromia Special Zone.
While the construction of the extension project is being carried out by Afro Tision Construction Company and Carby, an Italian based company, is providing the installation work. Although the company formerly planned to be operational by March 2013, production has been postponed until September. Repi Soap Factory, the sister company of Al-Sam Plc, launched the expansion project two years ago.
