Ethiopians in Germany buy 1.8 mln. Birr worth Bond

Ethiopians living in Berlin, Germany bought 1.8 million Birr worth bond for the construction of the Grand Renaissance Dam, the ministry of foreign affairs said.

At an event organized for public gathering and bond sale program in the premises of Ethiopian embassy in Berlin many Ethiopians have pledged to buy bonds.

Ethiopian ambassador to Germany ambassador Fiseha Asigedom on the occasion said wide range of activities is underway to maintain the active participation of the public.

He called on the Ethiopian Diaspora to organize themseleves to buy bonds and transfer knowledge and technology for ongoing national development.

The ambassador said the status of the construction of the grand renaissance dam is ahead of its scheduled.

According to ENA, Ambassador Fiseha attributed the accomplishment of various development projects to the public commitment following the death of the late PM Meles Zenawi.
