Facebook to be regulated in Ethiopia

Regulation is on the way to curb the use of Facebook on work hours. The study conducted by the Ethiopia’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism indicates that the prevalent use of social medias like Facebook at various government offices is having a detrimental impact on the services they are delivering to the customers.

Some even suggested that the habit is becoming increasingly addictive. Therefore, to control the situation, the board of Management at the Ministry is designing a regulation to limit the use of social medias at work place on work hours.

It is also indicated that the regulation will not prohibit the use of the social media at break times.
