Nigeria name squad to face Ethiopia


Nigeria have included England-based John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses in a 23-man squad to face Ethiopia in October's 2014 World Cup play-off.



The match in Ethiopia's National stadium in Addis Ababa on 12 October is the first of two legs which will decide who makes it to next year's finals in Brazil.



And Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has called up Chelsea's Mikel and Moses, who is on loan at Liverpool from Chelsea, as he aims to achieve a result to build on for the return in Calabar on 16 November.



Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama acts as stand-in skipper, while forwards Brown Ideye and Emmanuel Emenike are among six attackers in the squad.



Home-based players Chigozie Agbim, Francis Benjamin, Solomon Kwambe, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Sunday Mba are all recalled.




The Nigeria Football Federation is making arrangements to have the full squad train for four days in Abuja before the departure to Addis Ababa on the eve of the game.
