Hamid Ansari meets Ethiopian PM, attends African Union Summit

Vice President Hamid Ansari arrived in Ethiopia to attend the 50th African Union Summit in the national capital Addis Ababa. A red carpet welcome was accorded to the visiting dignitary from India at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Later he met the Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn. The Ethiopian Prime Minister is the chairperson of the African Union Summit. The Indian Vice President also met the Chairperson of AU Commission, Nkosazana Diamini-Zuma. He attended the 54 nation summit, which is also celebrating its golden jubilee this year. Ansari is scheduled to address the top African leaders at the Summit while keeping special focus on the issues of peace building and security.
