Meskel Square – Bole Road to be open for traffic in May

The 4.3km Meskel Square-Bole International Airport Road will be open for traffic in May 2013, the Addis Ababa Roads Authority said.
Authority General Manager, Engineer Fekade Haile on the occasion said utmost efforts are underway to finalize major parts of the road before the celebration of the 50th Golden Jubilee of the OAU/AU.
Eng. Fekade said electric power, water and telephone services, which were interrupted due to construction of the road, will begin operation ‘soon’.
Authority communication work process head, Sisay Workneh on his part said the city administration has allocated 1.3 billion Birr budget for construction of some 109 road projects and related activities
