METEC general manager given a forced leave

Brigadier General Kinfe Dagnew (pictured), the General Manager of the Ethiopian Metal and Engineering Corporation ( and also a Board member of the the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo), has been given a forced leave. METEC is under investigation by a "Committee" - FACC.

Yesterday, De Birhan reported that selected senior government officials have been given a forced leave and were being investigated/evaluated by "Committees".
