Ethiopian restaurant opens in Canton

If it’s finger food your’re craving, Sheba could become your next go-to eatery.
The new Canton restaurant at 3301 Foster Ave. serves Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine. Ethiopian cuisine is traditionally served with injera, a pancake-style bread, and eaten with your hands.
Sheba opened earlier this month and it’s one of only a few eateries in the city that specializes in the West African delicacies. The restaurant joins a short lineup of Baltimore’s Ethiopian restaurants, including Dukem in Mount Vernon and Tabor at 328 Park Ave.
The new East African eatery at the corner of Clinton Street opened in the space that formerly house Shorty’s Martini Bar & Lounge, a hipster haven that closed in 2010.
